Tank America – Drive a Tank Experience
Have you ever wanted to drive a tank? Now you can — and you can cruise through mud and crush a car. You can drive a 17-ton FV 433 Abbot tank at Tank America along a 3/4-mile course.
We got invited to Tank America last month to drive and ride in a 1965 FV433 Abbot British tank, yep you read it correctly, we drove a real tank! It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we had such an incredible experience!
Tank America has different packages to choose from, you can drive over crushed cars and through a mud pit, and through the woods past faux enemies and allies and even experience a tank from inside “locked up”. The staff is mostly all vets with so much experience and knowledge to set you up for an authentic drive! They are so friendly and teach you everything you need to know and speak with you during your drive on comms throughout to assist with turns and questions or just to chit chat 😉
