Disney On Ice Presents Spotlight Magic! Is Coming to Orlando

Disney magic is taking center stage in Orlando this September! Disney On Ice presents Spotlight Magic! is an all-new production making its debut at the Kia Center in Orlando September 4–6, 2026, and it looks like such a fun way to kick off the fall season with the kids.

And the coolest part? Orlando is the very first stop of the tour!

If your kids love Disney characters, music, ice skating, and seeing their favorite movies come to life, here’s everything you need to know before you go.

An All-New Disney On Ice Show

Disney On Ice presents Spotlight Magic! puts a glamorous spin on the traditional Disney On Ice experience.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy are hosting a star-studded Disney gala filled with familiar characters, incredible skating, costumes, sets, music, and stories from Disney and Pixar favorites.

The brand-new production officially launches right here in Orlando before heading to cities across North America.

More than 30 Disney characters are expected to appear throughout the production, so there should be plenty of familiar faces for both kids and parents to get excited about.

Which Disney Characters and Movies Will You See?

One thing I love about Disney On Ice is that you don’t have to choose just one favorite Disney movie. The shows bring several stories together into one experience, which is perfect when everyone in the family has a different favorite.

Spotlight Magic! includes stories and characters from:

Zootopia 2
Tangled
Beauty and the Beast
Toy Story
Monsters, Inc.
Moana
Lilo & Stitch
Plus some iconic Disney Villains

Fans will get to follow Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on a new adventure, watch Moana journey to restore the heart of Te Fiti, and join Rapunzel and Flynn Rider as they search for the floating lanterns.

There is also a special Disney On Ice first: Stitch introduces Angel for her North American on-ice debut!

And for my fellow Disney Villains fans, keep an eye out because they’re getting their own dramatic moment on the ice too.

Disney On Ice presents Spotlight Magic! will be at Kia Center in downtown Orlando from September 4–6, 2026.

That’s six performances throughout the weekend, which gives families quite a few options depending on nap schedules, bedtime, school, or other weekend plans.

Make It Extra Special With the Magical Pass

Families looking to make their Disney On Ice day even more memorable can also check out the Magical Pass.

The Magical Pass experience includes premium reserved seating and a special character greeting before the show. Select venues may also include a special venue entrance.

Just keep in mind that Magical Pass availability and requirements are separate from a standard show ticket, so make sure you read all of the details when booking.

Is Disney On Ice Good for Younger Kids?

Disney On Ice is one of those experiences that can work really well for families with different-aged kids because there is constantly something happening.

Even younger kids who might not follow every storyline can enjoy the music, colorful costumes, characters, lights, and skating. Older kids will recognize more of the stories and appreciate seeing their favorite characters take over the ice.

If you’re bringing little ones, I always recommend choosing a showtime that works with their normal schedule whenever possible. An 11 AM or noon performance can sometimes be much easier than trying to push through bedtime for an evening show.

And definitely arrive early. Getting everyone through parking, security, bathroom trips, snacks, finding your seats, and inevitably stopping to look at merchandise always takes longer with kids than you think it will.

A Little Disney Magic Without a Theme Park Day

Living in Central Florida means we’re surrounded by Disney experiences, but there’s something completely different about watching Disney stories unfold on the ice.

The kids get to see characters they recognize, parents get plenty of nostalgic Disney moments, and you can turn it into a special family outing without planning an entire theme park day.
