Shark Week – What to read, see and do this week!

We LOVE Shark-week. My boys are obsessed with all things sea life so here’s a round-up of some things you can do at home and around town to celebrate:

What to read: (Click the link for the read-along)

Clark the Shark – read by Chris Pratt
Smily Shark – Storytime with Kim
The Three Little Fish and The Big Bad Shark

What to stream:

  • Finding Nemo – Disney +
  • National Geographic Journey to Shark Eden – Disney +
  • National Geographic Sharks of Lost Island – Disney +
  • Soul Surfer – Netflix
  • Shark Take – Netflix
  • Sharkdog – Netflix
  • Zig & Sharko – Netflix
  • Shark Boy & Lavagirl – Netflix
  • And, of course, all things Baby-Shark on Youtube

Crafts to do:

Shark Week Activity Pack click here for the full size.

Frozen outdoor shark hunt

Add toy sharks to paper cups of water, add a few drops of color  (optional), and freeze. Kids can try to “save” the shark by melting the ice with water or using spoons to dig them out. This is a fun outdoor activity on shark-week hot days!

Shark Sensory Bin

Grab a kiddy pool or any large plastic bin, and add rocks, sand, water beads, toy sharks and fish, and water. Enjoy!

We hope you have a JAWsome week!
