Dinosaur Themed Big Boy Room

When Greg and I moved in together I knew I would have the most fun decorating my stepson’s room and it was so important to us to personalize his room at our house so he could feel comfortable, it’s pretty cool that he has two completely different rooms at his moms and his dads. He really wanted a dinosaur themed room.

Since his room is somewhat small, I wanted to keep it fresh, bright, simple and not too cluttered.

The bedding was too cute to pass up with the bright cute dinosaurs and the sheets with the little dinosaur tracks and we both fell in love with the dinosaur pillow that my mom found for us.

I tried to keep the furniture to a minimum so we just used what we had, the bedside and the dresser plus his toy box since furniture can really fill a space up quickly. We opted to use decor on the furniture tops, the bright dinosaur figurines with the wooden photo plaque and the cutesy sign for his bedside.

And, to spruce up the white walls a little, we added a banner across the top of his bed and the glow in the dark stickers. They’re charming, easy to put up and easy to take down! Yay for keeping it easy.

We made some dinosaur hand prints to hang on the walls.

We found the decor elements for his dinosaur themed room on Amazon, at Target and Hobby Lobby so it was really easy to put together and we are happy with the results and so is my stepson, see the unveiling video below.
