The Times I Don’t Wear My Engagement Ring & Why

My engagement ring is my dream ring (Greg did good!) and as soon as he put it on my hand, I knew there would be certain times I just wouldn’t wear it because I didn’t want to lose it or damage it.

Here are the times I don’t wear my engagement ring and why:

At the beach

This one seems like a no brainer, if you lose your ring in the water (or even sand) its a goner. I have heard so many stories of lost wedding and engagement rings at the beach so I just leave it at home. I wear a silicone band at the beach because I just hate not having a ring on my finger.

In the swimming pool

For this one it is no so much of the fear of losing it because a pool is not as open as the ocean and filters can catch it but I don’t wear it in the pool or hot tub because I don’t want the chlorine to dull the gold or diamonds.

In the shower

I leave my ring in a cute ring dish in the bathroom while I shower and use any hair products on my hands, soap and product can leave a film on the band and diamonds.
