ProLon Cleanse – An Honest Review
I entered 2023 with a strong focus on my health (cliche but ya know) but a little disclaimer, I am not one to discuss diets, I have never been on a diet ever in my life but when I found out about ProLon I decided I would give it a try given how it is different, scientifically developed and researched and the fact that more with a quick fast rather than a prolonged diet.
What is ProLon?
It’s a five-day cleanse designed to mimic a fast. The foods provided are high in fat, and low in carbs and protein. In ProLon’s words: “This 5-day meal program provides scientifically researched micro- and macro-nutrients in precise quantities and combinations that nourish you, but are not recognized as food by your body and therefore mimics a fasting state!”
Benefits of ProLon:
- Promotes Cellular Renewal
- Supports Metabolic Health
- Enhances Clarity and Performance
- Fat-Focused Weight Loss – the average person loses 5lbs with the 5-day fast-mimicking diet.
Why did I decide to do ProLon?
I did not decide to do ProLon for weight loss however, I have read that weight loss is a benefit of this fast. I decided to do this fast because I wanted to reduce bloat from the holidays and get a quick detox to start the New Year fresh and prepare my body for some changes in my health and wellness journey. This fast is a great way to jumpsuit a healthy diet!
How’s the food?
Really good for the most part. Every day is somewhere between 750-1,000 calories.
The soups are the “main” meals every day and I liked all of them. The breakfast bars (L-bars) were coconut, the snacks were olives (I don’t like olives so I skipped them which is allowed), and kale and almond crackers which weren’t bad at all. And my favorite; dessert was a chocolate bar (choco crisp) and that was so delicious I wish I could buy them on their own!
You’re allowed to switch up your eating schedule per day, but you can’t switch the items in each box for different days. For instance, you can switch your “dinner” soup for your “lunch” soup but not switch Day 1’s soup with Day 2’s soup. Outside of the box’s contents, you’re only allowed one cup of black coffee per day and water.
Overall, I love the benefits of ProLon but there was a 24-hour period that was really difficult. Days 1, 2, and 5 were great while days 3-4 were borderline unbearable and I was very close to eating real food. Besides that, I noticed that I was sleeping SO GOOD! and my energy levels increased so much!
The most impactful effects I personally experienced were no bloating, an increase in energy, great sleep at night, and an overall clear mind. I am strongly considering a plant-based diet based on these results from ProLon.
