Our Staycation at CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort

Earlier this month we did a mini staycation at CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort here in Orlando, Florida – we had such an amazing time and it exceeded our expectations!
The resort itself has so many amenities including a water park, two swimming pools, a hot tub, arcade, free parking, shuttle service to local theme parks, restaurants, poolside Tiki Bar, a fitness center, business center, convenience store & gift shop as well as laundry facilities making it the perfect place for a family getaway! We were able to relax, unwind and have tons of fun at CoCo Key Water Resort.
The Water Park
We spent the entire stay here from the moment it opened to the moment it closed and had tons of fun, the kids didn’t want to leave!
This water park caters to children of all ages and boasts 14 innovative water slides and 4 heated pools and is a kid’s dream – the perfect place to cool off from the tropical heat. Half of the water park is covered with a canopy which offers plenty of shade, we did spend most of our time on this side of the park as it had a more shallow pool for Reign and the kids seemed to love these slides the most too. The outdoor area has big slides with the tubes included and plenty of loungers and cabanas to relax on.
I do want to make a special note that there are lifeguards present and they are incredible! They are constantly checking the water, patrolling up and down and we did see training exercises while we were there, I have never seen lifeguards so present and aware of their surroundings, I was pleasantly surprised!
The Arcade
The resort has a 6,500 sq ft of Arcade which we are so glad we checked out because the kids had such a blast! There are so many games to play both classic and new ones. I highly recommend checking the arcade out if you stay here.
The Room
We stayed in the King Studio room which had bunk beds perfect for the kiddos and amazing water park views (see pic at the top)! The rooms are large and comfortable and have everything you need including a mini-fridge, microwave, hairdryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and a safe. The bathroom was the perfect size with a bathtub which made bathing the kids easier after spending the day at the water park as well as ample closet space.
We truly had such a fabulous time at CoCo Key Water Resort and highly recommend a visit here, if you are local you can buy water park tickets here or make it a staycation by booking a room for a night or two and experiencing all that this unique hotel has to offer!
