A Fun-Filled Family Staycation at Lake Buena Vista Resort in Orlando
Thank you Lake Buena Vista Resort for partnering with me for this hosted stay. All thoughts and opinions of this resort are my own.
As a mom of two little adventurers, I always look for family-friendly destinations that combine relaxation, fun, and convenience. Recently, we had the chance to spend a staycation at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa in Orlando, and it truly checked all the boxes for an unforgettable family staycation. Located just minutes away from all the magic of Disney World and other top Orlando attractions, this resort offers much more than a place to stay. It’s a destination in itself!
Spacious Family Suites with All the Comforts of Home
One of my favorite things about Lake Buena Vista Resort is the spacious suites. As a mom, having enough room for everyone to stretch out is a top priority. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite, which had a master bedroom for us, a second bedroom for the kids, and a fully equipped kitchen. This was a game-changer for our family, especially with a toddler and infant in tow. The kitchen made meal prep a breeze, allowing us to whip up easy breakfasts before heading out for the day. There was also a washer and dryer in the suite — perfect for handling those inevitable kid-sized messes!
The suite had a cozy living room area, and the kids loved watching their favorite shows on the big-screen TV. The highlight, however, was the private balcony overlooking the resort’s incredible pirate-themed pool.
The Pirate Ship Pool: A Kid’s Dream Come True
Speaking of pools, the Pirates’ Plunge Pool at Lake Buena Vista Resort is a family favorite! The second we arrived, my toddler’s eyes lit up, and I knew we’d be spending a lot of time there. It’s perfect for little ones who love water play, and there’s also a quieter pool area for those who prefer a more laid-back vibe. I loved that there were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, giving me a chance to relax while keeping an eye on the kiddos.
Mom’s Time Out: Reflections Spa
While the kids were busy at the pool, I managed to sneak in some “me time” at the Reflections Spa, located right on the resort property. If you’re a mom in need of a little pampering, I highly recommend booking a treatment here. I indulged in a relaxing massage that left me feeling refreshed and ready to tackle more family adventures. The spa offers a variety of services, from facials to body treatments, so there’s something for every busy mom in need of a break.
Dining Options for the Whole Family
No vacation is complete without delicious food, and Lake Buena Vista Resort has some fantastic dining options. We loved Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub & Grille, which had a great selection of family-friendly dishes. If you prefer cooking in your suite, there’s a convenience store on-site where you can grab snacks, drinks, and basic groceries.
Fun Beyond the Resort
While the resort itself offers so much to keep the family entertained, you’re also just a short distance from Orlando’s top attractions. If you’re planning on hitting the theme parks, Lake Buena Vista Resort offers a convenient shuttle service to Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld, so you don’t have to worry about parking.
For families looking for a fun and relaxing Orlando staycation, Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa is a fantastic choice. With its spacious suites, amazing pool, on-site dining, and convenient location near top attractions, it has everything you need for an unforgettable family getaway. Whether you’re planning a full Disney vacation or just want a weekend escape, this resort should be on your list!
