Love Language Test (+ Our Results)

I am sharing one of my favorite tests today! The Love Language Test! Greg and I both took this test in the early stages of our relationship and it was really fun to learn more about ourselves and each other.

The 5 Love Languages are:

  • Words of affirmation
  • Acts of service
  • Receiving gifts
  • Quality time
  • Physical touch

Take the quiz here (it’s free and quick!)

My results

Quality time – 8
Words of affirmation – 10
Acts of service – 5
Physical touch – 7
Receiving gifts – 0

Greg’s results

Acts of service – 5
Quality time – 11
Physical touch – 7
Words of affirmation – 4
Receiving gifts – 3

As you can see Greg and I are equal in Physical Touch and Acts of Service.

With Greg’s love language being quality time, he really loves just simply being with me, uninterrupted and doing things together that we both enjoy. With my love language being words of affirmation, I enjoy when he tells me he is proud of me, or that he likes my outfit or that he appreciates me.

I think it is important to know your own and your partners love language so you can speak that language to them and maintain a happy marriage/relationship because you know how to best meet their emotional needs.

There is also a quiz for singles, children and teens. We actually did the love language test on our 5 year old and found out his love language, I will share that in another post.
