MOAS – Family Museum Trip

We recently had a family museum trip at the Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences and we had so much fun! With collections of historical artifacts, Americana/memorabilia, some beautiful art galleries, a children’s museum and a planetarium, you actually spend hours here and it is such a great outing for the whole family.

MOAS

If you know me in real life or just have been following our blog for awhile you know that children’s museums are huge hit in our family.  Tampa has a very nice (and big) one, but the one here in Daytona was ideal.  It wasn’t too big and it wasn’t overly crowded.  Our 4 year old had a blast! Most of our time was spent doing the cause and effect activities (daddy definitely loved these!), but he loved the black-light room where he could build a skeleton and making pizza for everyone.

The Planetarium at MOAS was also really cool.  We watched a short movie called “The Little Star That Could” and it was so cute.

My favorite thing about this museum is the coca cola exhibits and the race car exhibits. There was so much history to learn about and you could see the progression of the coca cola bottles and machines.

There’s some amazing collections of historical artifacts, artwork and memorabilia from around the world.

There is so much to learn and see at MOAS. Including this Giant Ground Sloth skeleton that was discovered only a few miles away from the museum location.

If you are looking to discover a new museum for your family trip, MOAS is the place! Perfect for the whole family and there is something for everyone.
