Super Easy Construction Sensory Bin
We were well overdue for a new sensory bin activity so I went on a mission through my house to find some things to put in a sensory box to add a base to Reign’s newfound love, TRUCKS.
Want to put your own together? It’s super simple.
First, grab an empty, clean tub
Next, strategically place your ‘ingredients’ to look like different parts of a construction site.
Here’s what I added to mine:
- Chocolate peanut butter cereal as rocks. You can also try crushing some in addition to the whole ones to add more texture.
- Oats as sand. Pulsing some through a blender would be fun too!
- Small rocks. Don’t add these if you want a 100% taste-safe sensory bin – Reign is slowly working his way out of putting everything in his mouth so I trusted him with these 😂 and I was supervising – Raisins would be a great substitute!
Finally, add some of your kiddo’s favorite construction trucks. You can find these ones in my Amazon Store here.
I also added a spoon and tongs for him to scoop with also.
THAT’S IT!
If you have kids who love transport machines, then add this to your list of sensory play ideas.
