A Staycation at Wyndham Orlando Resort on International Drive

We had a relaxing staycation for my birthday week at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on International Drive in Orlando. During our stay, we enjoyed the two large pools at the hotel and then walked to ICON Park enjoyed The Orlando Eye and Carousel, and ate yummy BBQ at Brother Jimmy’s.

Amenities

The hotel is stunning on the drive up and gives beautiful tropical vibes throughout the property, the lobby is spacious and has a bar, and seating area and serves Starbucks coffee too. The grounds feature many beautiful fountains, bridges, and lagoons that ducks and ducklings frequent.

There are two large pools on the property, with complimentary pool towels, and plenty of loungers. They have a poolside bar and grill, Gatorville that offers snacks, meals, and tropical frozen drinks. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily!

While we didn’t use them, there is a steam room, sauna, and fitness center that has everything you need to maintain your workout routine while on vacation or a business trip.

Accommodations

We stayed in a Junior Executive Suite that had a very comfortable king-sized bed, a large seating area, a wet bar, and a large work desk and we had a joining bunk bed room for my toddler with an extra bathroom and bed in it too! The private balcony had the perfect views of The Orlando Eye and Starflyer attractions. It was like a mini apartment, we had so much space and it was the perfect layout for families.

Walkable Neighborhood

We loved that this hotel was just steps away from ICON Park is right in the heart of International Drive and is surrounded by tons of restaurants, attractions, and shopping! Between the resort and its location, you will never be bored during your stay.
